Choosing a Site for a Public Library in Queens, NY

This project utilizes ArcMap to create weighted decision maps to rank vacant sites in Queens from a scale of 6 to 39 in terms suitability for building a new Queens Public Library.

The factors weighed include the population of foreign-born residents, the distance for existing libraries, the percentage of ESL population with poor English speaking skills, the percentage of population without a GED, the density of recent residential development in the area and the percentage of minor population.
